In this final episode of our digital LIVErary series from the Climate Justice Camp in Lebanon, we we hear the powerful story of Layal Beyhum.

Listen to Layal recalling how she and fellow university students banded together in solidarity during the Covid 19 crisis in Lebanon to provide essentials such as clothes, food, and housing appliances to help people around them in need.

After the Beirut explosion on August 4, 2020, the need became even greater and the initiative grew, providing rental assistance, medical treatments, and school and university fees for students. Today, this initiative, Lebnene Ele (Lebanon is Mine), goes from strength to strength, organizing fundraising events, and even having an operational library where the people can donate school books.
