The Human LIVErary stories: David Grefa

In this second episode of our digital LIVErary, we hear from David Grefa, who was one of over 40 living books sharing powerful stories at the Climate Justice Camp in Lebanon.

David is from the Ecuadorian Amazon, and his story is centered on how his indigenous Kichwa community are coming  together time after time to resist extractivist activities that threaten people, livelihoods, and the rich biodiversity of the region. David is an organizer and communicator, and is part of @CONFENIAE, a regional Indigenous organization representing almost 1,500 communities from around the Amazon.
