Alab is a climate justice activist from the Philippines. She comes from a family of activists, and has been protesting for human rights and gender justice from as young as five years old. An organizer of climate strikes since 2019, she is now the convenor and national coordinator of YACAP, the Fridays for Future of the country. With Indigenous roots on her mom’s side and her dad a land defender that is a victim of enforced state disappearance, she vows to continue the resistance of her family.
